Lipscomb University
Turney Stevens was named the Dean of the College of Business at Lipscomb in 2008. Stevens joined the Lipscomb faculty as executive-in-residence and assistant professor of business in December of 2007, after retiring from 35 years as an active member of Nashville’s business community in banking, publishing, and printing. His career as an investment banker began in 1972 at Tennessee Securities here in Nashville. He also served for a number of years as president of Rodgers Capital Corporation, a Nashville-based investment banking firm, before founding a commercial printing company, formed from the acquisition of Williams Printing Co. In 2001, he co-founded the Harpeth Companies, a diversified investment banking and consulting company. Stevens earned his bachelor’s in political science from Lipscomb in 1972. He went on to earn an MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University in 1981.
