Shane Cortesi is the owner of The Law Office of Shane V. Cortesi, where he advises clients on issues related to patent, copyright, and trademark protection and corporate formation. Prior to starting his own law firm, Shane wrote and prosecuted patents at Waddey & Patterson, P.C. Before moving to Nashville, Shane was an Associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in New York, New York, where he represented leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, such as GlaxoSmithKline, Schering-Plough, and Forest Laboratories.

In addition to a law degree, Shane holds a B.A. in Zoology from Miami University and a M.S. in Biotechnology from Northwestern University. Shane is particularly experienced in assisting pharmaceutical and medical device companies with issues related to patent procurement and enforcement.
